"There is no way we are going to win!"

So many bed fish and not enough time we thought.  We started the morning off with lots of little males from beds but we needed more then just little dudes to pull this off.

Duane said, "Lets go...we are leaving."   We went to several more spots and we both caught quality fish but still didn't think we had enough to win the tournament.

Weigh in time rolls around really quick when we are fishing.  Since we were in the second flight at 3:15 we had to hurry to make it to the Award Ceremony thinking we might of won some money. Duane visits with the fellow anglers as we continue to pack the boat out of the water since we are patiently waiting for the Memorial Day water-goers to get their boats in and out of the water.

As we drive to the "Sky Lark" at 3:50 for the award ceremony, we notice everyone walking away.  We stopped two guys on their way out and asked if it was over and they said, "Yeah, someone won it and their check of $1800 is waiting for them."  Duane and I thought wow its already over and they didn't even wait.  We approached Brett Smith, who runs the Won Bass Tournament and he said, "Congratulations guys, you won."  Of course as we are talking to Brett two more team members came to claim their 4th place money.  I guess we should of hustled!
